Winter,

NonDestructive testing. Basically, a high-tech offshoot from the quality control sector. There are several corporations down "Corpus-way." I should also mention that some have their headquarters there, and the employee would be doing "windshield" time to various sites and/or off-shore contracts on oil rigs.

This is one of those niche jobs, that requires certifications. Very handy in the economic times.

Gabetx,

ROFLMAO! Yep! I do drive a lot faster than that, usually like driving at 80 to 85MPH when the opportunity arises.

I used to live in Harker Heights (I was assigned at Ft Hood, on and off for 5 1/2 years.) Soldiers would drive the back roads and be in Austin 6th Street Live, in about 45 to 60 minutes. Armadillos were just another form of braking! DPS back then, would sort of turn a blind eye to high speeds. Don't know if this is still true or not. I suspect not.

However! The one thing does stick out in my memory....Just how big Texas really is! Especially when driving!

I'm old, remember?

I used to drive from my parents house close to downtown CC to my house in the heights Houston in 3 hours and 15 minutes. That was waaaayyyy baaaaack when the speed limit was 55 mph.

Winter,

Many people don't exactly understand what my career field is, and on some days, I'm not even sure!

Yep! A 6'7" 290lb Chinese! LOL! Just having some fun. Myself, half Native American & German. My wife is the Chinese needing the information, as well as myself. After all; I run my home, make the rules and I have her permission to say so too! Righttttt! Gues who will be driving to Houston? Three guesses, and the first two don't count!

Winter,

Nope! Not in the least. BTW, I reread my post. That is my size, and I didn't phrase it well; my bad! Been married for 5 years to the same woman (old couples can now stop laughing), you ought to hear what she states about herself. She states that she is a banana! LOL Cracked me up the first time I heard it. She states she loves the US, and is yellow on the outside! Ergo; she is a banana!

Sort of hard to argue with a Chinese woman's logic. I gave up a long time ago, and simply nod my head sagely. It does make marriried life interesting though.

Regard to who runs the home, live with a Chinese woman for 5 years. Then you will understand. However, I do enjoy being bossed (and she does do it lovingly) around by her.

If she's so banana, why does she need Asian stores? Ask her and see what she say.
