This years event has already happened but anyone in Corpus who is interested in movies and making movies should look into it for next year.

CC7D 2010 - WHAT IS CC7D?

Pretty much you get a team together and make a short 8 minute or less movie in a week. All the teams are given a certain line, character, and prop that has to be in the film. This has been going on for the past 4 years. The past 3 years all of the films have been show at the Harbor Playhouse as a film premier type event.

Here are my teams films for this year and last year.

YouTube - Our Friend Sam - CC7D 2010

YouTube - Avon Calling - CC7D 2009

You can just do a youtube search for "CC7D" to bring up several other short films that have been made by people in Corpus and the surrounding areas.

5 years ago I knew nothing about filming movies or editing, so if you have any interest in film and can think up a story you can do it too.

Thanks for the post and links! We meant to go to the screening this year but missed it. We did go once several years ago. I'm not interested in making movies but think they're really fun to watch--lots of talent and creativity.

Yep, quite an entertaining way to spend a Saturday! This year there were 36 films, most of which were worth the 8 minutes to watch.
