The construction of the home has nothing to do with the land that it sits on.
I hope they told how bad the ground is in that area and what it wil do to foundations. make sure you keep the ground around the home wet. You may want to buy a soaker hose so that you can soak the ground once in awhile.
If you don't keep the ground treated living in that area it will cause plumbing problems.

Naturally the inspectors know that and pointed out the builder installed soaker hoses around the entire house. The inspector informed us many of the new developments and homes in Corpus should have soaker hoses installed but have not and will cause foundation problems down the road. Requiring soaker houses around foundations is not unique to Calallen.
