Alot of icing is occuring tonight across the Coastal Bend, and Corpus is now seeing some nasty road conditions. Here is a great link for the latest in road closures in and around this area, as well as other points of interest:

Here is some of the other things going on as of 8:35pm. The times you see on the right are set in EST. The North Beach Alert is for the Harbor Bridge and Joe Fulton Corridor being shut down.

They are going to shut down all freeways. Dad is a police officer and got a phone call about it. Harbor Bridge and JFK Causeway are shut down.

I live in Portland, and work in the Calallen area/5 Points. Will be using a sick day tomorrow! My only other way around, is to take 181 through Taft, up to Sinton, and then back down to Corpus. That would probably be even worse than braving the Harbor Bridge or Fulton Corridor--- IF they were open!!!

Yep, I dont have much free time anymore. I am averaging about 95 hours a week at work. I am on call 24/7. But now they actually decided to hire a few guys and we are about to start a rotation. You liking Portland?

Yep! Love it here! Been here for 1.5 years now (in the area for nearly 2 years altogether). Really like the small town atmosphere. Great place to raise a family!

Yes, both Portland and Calallen are nice areas for a family. No drugs, gangs, traffic or other big city worries.
