Hello.

I'm moving to San Antonio in about a week and I plan to vacation in CC.

What month does the water get warm enough to go swimming?

Also, what are the best beaches in the CC area?

THANKS

Steve

From this site: US NODC Coastal Water Temperature Guide

Love the beaches which allow vehicle access which are plenty. Spent most of our times using one of the first access roads on the way to Pt. Aransas (also a fun little town) - this was in October when there were few people and it was great. So I guess it could depend on if you like crowded beaches or more isolated.

The best beaches are on the gulf side of Padre Island rather then on the bay. It is pretty much one long continuous beach from Port Aransas to South Padre Island, with only a few cuts connecting the bays with the gulf. I tend to prefer the beaches around Port Aransas because they have decent public restrooms with running water. I don't know of any restrooms like that over near Corpus. It is also fun to walk out on the jetties at Port Aransas and watch the boats coming in and out of the cut.
