I posted a thread earlier about possibly moving to CC and I'm reading that the job market isn't the best. I would be trransfering my job but my wife just graduated with a degree in social work. Does anyone know what the market would be like in that field?

I assume that most social work jobs are associated with state funding. Since the state of Texas is in the midst of a budget crisis and looking to cut the budget any way they can, there will probably be layoffs and decreases of funding at many state agencies.

Default social worker myself

I recently moved in area and have not started job search, but been searching a bit...Seems they do a lot of hiring here at hospitals, and possibly Navy clinical social workers...My license did not transfer here so i have a lot of testing to do, even though I have a MSW/LSW...have her contact me. when will ya be moving and from where? I have seen probation officer ads and mental health clinics looking for case management. If wife just graduated, she may have school loans and if she works more rural, they will probably pay her loan off. I am gonna check that out as well
