Hello folks!

My husband and I finally got sick of New Jersey winters and we are packing and looking for a house on North Padre Island. My husband is born and raised in Dallas/FW but he lived for a few years in Corpus, so it is back home. We went there in February, to check the area and we loved it. We are going to be back during the second week of June, to keep on looking at houses on North Padre Island. I was just wondering if there is a part of the island better than other to buy a house? pros, cons, noisier, quieter? any advice will be appreciated

labeep;

I's suggest you have a look at the area east of the JFK causeway, towards Whitecap Blvd. There are many nice homes, some with canal frontage, (more expensive), others not on the canals are less expensive.

thank you! I'm afraid I will have to go with the less expensive options, though! . We will be there in June and we plan on touring on foot several areas, to check them again. We already did that in February, but I want to do it again now that I have a better sense of things. It is exciting, I cannot wait to call Padre Island "home"

Welcome to Corpus. I think you will like it after you get over the culture shock.

It cannot be more shocking than Philly and more than 300 murders in a year, trust me .
