I am hoping to start construction on a second home in Aransas County (Rockport), TX this summer. The property is canal front and not in the city limits. Does anyone know what the requirements are for a septic system there? Permit? Licensing? Aerobic/Anerobic?

Has anyone worked with the inspectors in Rockport? Are they easy to deal with?

Again, this is a second home that I will be building on my weekends off since I live full-time in the Houston area. So I am trying to make this process as painless as possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

It will probably be County rather then Rockport inspectors you will be dealing with. You probably should spend some time talking to them ahead of time so you know what you need to do.

Thanks CptnRn (and Ocean2026). I figured it would be county vs city. I appreciate the helpful link and the info.
