Chance of showers today, cool front moving through later this morning. Looks like Christmas will be cool with highs in the 50s!

Rainy and cool weather expected today here in the Coastal Bend! I have heard we may see up to an inch of rain today. I know further up north across the Edwards Plateau and parts of N. Texas, snow will be flying! B-R-R-R!!!

Wish the snow would have made its way a few hundred miles south! That would have been amazing! Especially on a three day weekend. Lol.

Looks like after a drizzly, cool Christmas, a warmup will be taking place this week. Tomorrow will hit around 70, with 70s expected for the rest of the week after that! Looks like New Years will be really nice! Good time to get out to the Bayfront!

Enjoying the heck out of this beautiful winter weather (if one could call it that). Should stay in the 70s through Sunday, when we have our next chance of rain. Can you believe we have had less than 13" of rain for the year (normal for the year is a little over 32")?? Combined lake capacity is now down to 53.2%!!!

I hate this warm weather. We got more than our fair share during the summer. Please bring on the well deserved cold!

I am not so concerned about getting cold, as I am about the ongoing S. Texas drought. Notice I just said S. Texas (although some parts of central and western Texas are still pretty dry), as most of the rest of the state has been getting decent rainfall. Here is the latest drought map for the state:

Came close to a freeze last night in Corpus. The NWS reports the airport hit a chilly 34! Looks like much milder weather in store for most of the rest of the week, with a chance of rain Wed night and Thursday.

Next week is looking a little better finally! 60's and 50's for highs, and 30's for lows!
