I know I am a couple of months late, but thanks! So far, its been a lot of FUN!

The weather is finally starting to reflect the holiday season come Monday. Hopefully we can avoid the 80's until March now. Next week will be a good one.

I love this weather! It is awesome... Yesterday, if it was eight degrees colder, it would have been snow at 5 Points.

We do indeed. More correctly, we need rain upcountry so we get some decent runoff into our water reserves, Lake Mathis is really in sad shape. According to someone I know with the CC water department we are very close to water restrictions unless we get some relief this spring.

Actually, jbtx, we ARE in water restrictions right now. No watering between 10am-6pm. You could be fined a fair amount of money if caught. Combined capacity is about 39% right now. Thankfully, we get a fair amount of our water from Lake Texana, which is doing pretty well.

The good thing about this upcoming rain event, is that its widespread, and so the watershed should see alot of benefit from it. Hopefully, this will be a beginning to a wet year, as we need to end up around 10-15" above normal by the end of the year to break this drought.
