Although the rain is not seriously heavy today or anything, it IS raining, and some parts of the area are getting more than others. Kinda chilly with that rain and wind too. Do you think this is a change in the overall pattern towards a wetter and cooler period (possibly all winter)?

Check out Dale Nelson's blog. He thinks we are going to see a much wetter and cooler winter than previously thought:

I wouldn't trust Dale Nelson. I wouldn't trust any meteorologists for that matter.

But, I do hope, however, that it will be a nice cold winter. I love winter weather and all of the holidays within. Plus I am praying for a little bit of luck with some snow so my son can finally see some!

More rain falling today. Corpus has received about another quarter inch thus far. More rain forecast during the week, and weekend! At least its warmer today!

I know. I was being sarcastic. But, as a amateur/hobbyist with weather, I do feel he has a point in his blog. I, too think the weather will be wetter and somewhat cooler than what was originally predicted by the NWS earlier this fall.

Yes it feels good to be back. Ive been fairly busy for a while now. I worked in the oilfield for a while and was out of town a lot, and now Ive gotten a much better CAREER with fantastic benefits here in Corpus.

About the weather... What about this ridiculous heat today? Bring on the cold again!

Hey Gabe, that's great you found a career you can sink your teeth into. I know back about 3 years ago, when I first started posting in the Texas forums (before Corpus had it's own subforum), I know you were working for Best Buy, so it sounds like you have made a lot of changes!

About the weather: looks like this past weekend hasn't turned up much precip. But it looks like good chances of more will be around for the next several days, with the cool weather coming back around midweek.

I went from Best Buy, to Coca-Cola, to the Oilfield. Now I finally got on with CCPD so I don't think there is any career better than that! Thats where I will be for the next 30 years.

Yep, hopefully the chilly weather sticks around for Christmas. I hate those days when its 75 degrees on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
