Whenever I'm visiting in Corpus, I make it a habit to avoid these intersections and find alternate routes on surface streets. But, I thought I heard that the red light cameras were being removed. Any news on this?

No, the contract is just about up but it will probably be renewed.

Corpus Christi red light camera contract up for renewal this spring » Corpus Christi Caller-Times

That being said it is not a criminal offense to run them and not pay.

You're just going to have collection agencies go after you on behalf of the pathetic puke punk revenue-generating City of Corpus Christi. Have fun with that.

Out of curiosity, did Corpus Chrisi lower the yellow light timing after getting the red light cameras? Did anyone notice that? Or they didn't do that?

I have accidentally run reds that way and have yet to be caught by them. Though my father once owned my car and he may have uh, tampered with the license plates.
