Hi, my fellow Corpus Christians.

My problem is thus; my niece is here to attend TA&MCC for grad school and needs a place to live. (a reasonably priced place to live). Ideally she would be in a room mate situation with another girl her own age (22 y.o. or so) to share the house keeping load and expenses, but if not that, perhaps a one BR apt where she has some peace and quite to do her studies. She is currently camped out in my back spare bedroom with little freedom to do her "college girl" thing. This is obviously not ideal since auntie and uncle are in their 60's and 70's and are very uncool room mates.

Can anyone recommend an apartment complex, (reasonably priced,,, clean and relatively bug free) anywhere on the south east side where she might begin her search?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is reasonably priced? Although it's not on the Southeast side, I know a lot of young professionals who live in the Bay Vista apartments downtown, behind the Methodist church. I have no idea what the rent is. I also know someone who rents a 1 br condo in the round condo bldg downtown for $900/mo. all bills paid. It's a quick trip to TAMUCC.

Most universities have a housing office that can help students find housing in the area and potential roomates, they often include information to help students interested in off-campus living connect with each other.

I found a phone number for housing 361-825-5000

Here is a link for on campus housing. Camden Miramar | Home It appears to be mostly about on campus living.

There are several apartments advertised in the student newspaper Island Waves- Welcome

Edit: I found this in the Student Handbook. For off-campus housing information, go to Living Off Campus 101 at www.tamucc101.com unfortunatly that link is broken but if you ask about it at the Housing center perhaps they can help you find that information.

Edit 2: A web search found this link which does work: http://tamucc.loc101.com/
