Because that is the type of thinking that has prevailed in this city so long in the 90's and early-mid 2000's that has left us in the dust compared to every other major city in Texas.

No offense, but the title of this thread pertains to your type of thinking.

I would like to post even more of the new developments. But KRISTV, KZTV, or KIIITV do not normally post development info. The majority of it was on the Caller Times, but they now require a subscription to view their articles.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but there have been a couple of exciting new developments announced the last couple of days.

These are from the Caller Times and may require a subscription to view the article:

Alamo Draft House in the SEA District
, downtown area. This will be great for kick-starting development in the newly designated SEA District. This is awesome for downtown in general!

Movies and More Family Entertainment Center. A great new development on the far southside bringing an all new entertainment experience to the Corpus Christi area. It will include a movie theater with alcoholic beverages and dining, laser tag, bowling lanes and an arcade.

AtHome retailer opening at the old Sams Club location on Greenwood.

New apartment complex at Saratoga/Roddfield
. Icon at Corpus Christi Apartments, 6901 Saratoga Blvd., 27 buildings.

Lexington Bar and Grill on North Beach, across from the Lexington. A cool new dining option on North Beach and pub.

The Kinney, a new, 54 room, three story, luxury botique hotel to be built on Water at Born.

There are many more smaller developments around town including warehouses, many restaurants, apartments/housing, a new fresh catch fisherman's market on North Beach, and new DPS facility.
