So where is everybody's favorite Mexican food in the Coastal Bend?

Breakfast tacos: Las Milpas, on Navigation.

For a meal: Couldn't find any I liked in CC, but San Juan in Port A is good.

Breakfast tacos: Guadalajara on Leopard at McKenzie.

Meal: Kikos, Guadalajara, or El Potro on Rodd Field. If you cant find a good place for a Mexican dish in CC, you are not looking.

Did the Old Mexico restaurant on Leopard close? Sorry.. I grew up in Portland but haven't been in the area in many years. Used to go there all the time when I was a kid.

Yes, Old Mexico closed.

We usually go to one of the Acapulco's for Mexican food--either Weber at Gollihar or Airline at McArdle.

Also, the Stripes at 37 and Shoreline has great breakfast tacos.

Breakfast taquitos - El Mesquite at Airline and Williams. Best in Corpus Christi, therefore best in the universe.

Breakfast, non-taquito - La Bahia downtown. Great Mexican omelette. Seems to have erratic hours since it moved locations.

Mexican Meals - La Playa. Lots of good-but-not-great places. I hear raves for Kikos, but always leave dissapointed....<shrug>

The last time I was at La Playa I was disappointed, it used to be OK but now it is too formula and the salsa is bland. I'm looking for a new Mexican eatery.
