Hi Folks,
I'm planning to take a relative and family to South Padre Island for a 50th birthday celebration. I want to stay at a 5 star resort ( Four Seasons type hotel), I can't seem to find 5 star hotels or resorts. I'm searching for a beach front resort. 10 of us will be traveling there for the celebration. Also,I want to plan a birthday dinner on a cruise ship while there. I appreciate any recommendations.

South padre is where people go because they can't afford or want to go to 5 star resort.

A floating Petri dish with a herd of tourons (Tourist + Moron) waddling around the food buffets before hitting the poop decks waiting to be rescued.

This thread is almost 3 weeks old so you may have already found what you're looking for. Does the resort have to be on South Padre Island? I can recommend a gorgeous resort but it's not down on So Padre.
