They mentioned "Corpus Christi" several times, but as far as I can tell, no scenes were shot in CC.

IMO they need to move the show's setting back to CA. Obviously, the writers have no clue about distances in TX. They have the actors zipping around to and from various places (i.e Austin to Corpus) like it is just across the street and a matter of minutes. Crazy.

They are still shooting the scenes in CA I believe, just use photo shots of Austin, Corpus and various Texas countryside scenes. I think the episode you are referring to shows shots of the bridge among other shots, but actually filmed in CA. I could be wrong though.

I watch the show off and on and I do know it's insanely crazy how they just pile into a vehicle in Austin and in no time they are at their destination and run back and forth like it's nothing (like running across town). Too funny.

I think you're right about the filming in Calif. They showed a shot of Harbor Bridge and DT SKYLINE. That was all that I recognized.

It was in the news. IIRC they did a couple of scenes at the aquarium as well, but yes, most was filmed somewhere else.
