Gas Buddy app tells me that gasoline at SAMs in San Antonio is $1.66/gal. I just gassed up at Sams on SPID and paid $1.89. What justifies the difference in price?

A week and a half ago, after the Cowboys game against the Lions, gas was $1.77 in Ft. Worth. I got back to Corpus and the price was $2.09. It is ridiculous! the refineries are in this city!

Not that it'll do any good, but I phoned my local councilman to beg the question. Years ago when I lived in California, Sen Boxer demanded an investigation into possible price gouging by the oil companies. The result of the investigation was that no collusion existed. I'm not sure if it was legit, a political ploy, song and dance or what. This particular price spread is much greater than usual. Im accustomed to A nickels difference in CC gas prices, but 23 cents!!

The original questions were:

1. Why are Gasoline prices so HIGH here?!!!

2. What justifies the difference in price?

CC usually has/had some of the cheapest gas, even when it was high.

(Corpus*Christi,*TX*–*July*25,*2008)**

I am an outside salesman and know all of the "cheap districts" for gasoline. That's always been one of the cheapest and I always gas up when I'm in that area. Thanks for the heads up.
