We have been in Corpus since Dec 31st (closed on our house Jan 2) and so far loving it. Builder has taken care of the minor items we pointed out. Everyone helpful answering our questions. We have found some great places to eat, Pier 99, Rudys, BJs Pizza, La Bahia, U&I and a great seafood resturant downtown that I forget the name of. Every person we have told that we are new to Corpus has told us "welcome and please feel free to ask me any questions you might have now or when you stop in again".
Although its been only a little over a week our first impressions have been great as they were the 4 different weeks we visited last year to decide if Corpus was the place for us to spend our retirement years.
I will keep you posted on the good and bad as we discover more in Corpus.

Glad you are enjoying it. My family almost moved us to Corpus when I was 13 when my dad was getting his own business started. Deals, however, fell through, and he instead chose to keep the family in the Metroplex. But it would have been interesting to see how I would have adjusted to living there back in 1980.

It's a good city and has great amenities. You'll love the beach scenery there. Keep us posted on all the fun.

I used to live on the coast and in Corpus for a time. If you haven't found it yet, you should really try Kiko's Mexican Restaurant at 5514 Everhart. You have to ask for the tamales, but they're wonderful!

That's so nice to hear. We know someone who used to vacation in Corpus and always loved it. They said that it would be their retirement spot. Guess there have been pros and cons posted on it, but I'm glad you like your new area. Now you have to change the location on your profile.

AND if you have any pics, we'd love to see them.
