A couple questions about local beaches.

1. Are there any public beaches with restroom facilities?

2. Are there hotels in the area that are ON the beach, as in you could walk back to the hotel to use the restroom?

Thanks!

Yes and yes. There are two beaches with restroom facilities I know of. I was in Port Aransas over Easter.

North Beach in Corpus Christi has RR facilities but I do not recommend that bayside beach.

Padre Island National Seashore (PINS) is the best beach and has RR facilities. There are hotels from Port Arnansas to PINS on the beach. Padre Island National Seashore (U.S. National Park Service)

It's a 30 minute drive to PINS from Corpus but well worth making. Btw, all beaches in Texas are public except of course PINS which has a small fee.

There is another so-called beach in downtown Corpus with restrooms, McGee Beach. I wouldn't begin to consider going there. Look at CC beaches on Youtube.

Hotel directly on Padre Island: Corpus Christi Hotels: Holiday Inn Corpus Christi-N Padre Island Hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas

There are also restrooms at Bob Hall Pier and at Mustang Island State Park, in addition to PINS, described by Rust Never Sleeps.

And some of the county beaches have Port-o-Potties, but yuk.

Most of the condo complexes on Mustang Island have a short boardwalk connecting them to the beach. If you stay at the Holiday Inn in CC on Ocean Dr., you can walk right outside to the beach.

But the best beaches are on Mustang Island.

And if you're just going #1, just walk out into the water like the rest of us do...

The Gulf serves well as a restroom.
