I was just at Padre Island National Seashore (PINS) this week and noticed the visitor's center there offers beach wheelchairs. The beach chairs and umbrellas I saw there all appeared to have been brought by the beach goers.

I'm new to Corpus, so I cannot really recommend any beaches other than PINS because it's the only one I've visited thus far. If you are interested, it's sea turtle nesting/hatching season and you may get lucky and have some hatchlings being released while you are visiting. Enjoy your visit!

We are back from Corpus Christi- I think we were on Port Aransas beach- or somewhere near there- and we drove onto the beach. We bought an umbrella at Walmart. Didn't need the wheelchair because we could drive right on the beach, so it was easy to get her to the beach chair. Best part was we could take the dog also. We had a wonderful time.!!!
