To any Corpus residents that live, work, or have spent a significant amount of time on North Padre Island.... I'd like to ask which cell carriers you feel work best on the island. I am new to town and need something reliable as far as dropped calls and good clear reception. Will be living in a house off Whitecap Blvd. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips.

Default Thanks

Thanks to the three who have replied so far. This gives me something to go on. Any others who would like to comment would be helpful also. Anyone else have good or bad cell experiences on N Padre Isle? Would like to know who to avoid when I'm comparing plans with the different companies. Thanks to all.

I've even had Sprint work down at the Mansfield cut, 60 miles down NPI. You have to go behind the dunes, but it's only 30 meters or so.
Most of my friends say Verizon works better pretty much everywhere outside, but it also costs a lot. It loses signal inside some buildings according to them. I haven't heard anyone say that a carrier was terrible.

I have no problems with AT&T. There's a bit of a dead spot (one bar, no bars, depending on the day) for a mile or two, during the stretch up Mustang Island, in between N Padre and Port A, but other than that I have zero issues with my service.
