LOL Rockport reported 3 sexual assaults for 2008 - some of them weren't "rape" they could be touching the wrong place- an 18 yr old with a 14 year old girl or boyfriend, or a BIG misunderstanding on a date. ( Texas office of court administration District Court cases by county- its not a link you'll have to download the entire state stats but its only a couple of minutes)

As a Portland resident since 1979, I have found virtually no crime of any consequence (OK, one crooked lawyer screwed me, and I got taken by a roofing company on a 20 year warranty...). There are the usual Saturday night club fights and the Banditos kick up now and then, but all in all it's a very safe area. I can't imagine where Luterian hangs out!

We gave you the numbers 3 sex assaults for the last year- that can be anything from unwanted touching of a breast or sex organ, to a date going too far ( at the time or in hindsight) to a 18 yr old with a 14 year old and we gave you the source office of Judicial Administration. They are the official compilers of court records for the State of Texas.
