I see many of the larger cities in Texas are represented. I am new here, but I was curious as to why the gulf coast cities are not represented? I live in Port Aransas, a short drive from Corpus Christi, and love it here. The Corpus area is more then just the city center, we have Portland, and Ingleside, Robstown, and Rockport all in this area, and not far off is Victoria. We could have all of these in one forum.

The gulf coast is growing, and it would be nice for all of us coasters to have a place to chat and not feel left out.

I agree that Corpus should have a forum as well; Corpus gets alot of posts and threads on here, and the size of the city dictates that a forum should be available. Just my .02.

I remember the mods were saying they were going to make a Corpus forum. But I guess they never took action. I think the city needs its own forum as well. That will also bring some well deserved attention.

I don't know if there is really enough discussion to warrant another forum. The Valley is much larger and doesn't get a sub-forum.

The mods themselves said they were going to make a CC forum. Corpus Christi is larger than any city in the valley.

Also, they said they make sub forums based upon the number of threads of a city. Corpus has more than enough to make a sub forum.

The RGV altogether has about as many people as San Antonio. McAllen itself is over 700,000.

I wonder how many of them use computers and internet, though.

You are talking about metro. I am talking city proper. McAllen is only half the size of CC. And the whole RGV has about 1.3 million I believe. But that is over a span of 80 or so miles.

My bad. However, the McAllen metro is still bigger than the Corpus metro. And all of the Texas sub-forums are for the metro areas, not just the cities.

It's the Administrator's call and he apparently does not believe there are enough threads and posts about Corpus to justify a forum yet.

If you folks in Corpus want a forum for CC, do your part by creating threads about local topics for Corpus here in th Texas state forum and post in currently open CC threads to demonstrate the need. Asking isn't going to get it done.

I wonder why the decided against adding one for Corpus Christi? It needs it's own. Yes, the valley as a whole has a larger population, but it's too large of a geographical area. I think the forums should be for cities and CC is definitely one of the most talked about. And I think it will continue to be talked about quite a bit in the future.
