I wonder when though. If you look around at other states, they have city forums that are REALLY small. Don't know why Corpus and the Rio Grande hasn't had their own forum yet.

I do agree Corpus needs one and also a forum for the Rio Grande Valley, come on we have over 1.2 million inhabited, 780,000 of those in McAllen metro alone! =D

Other states how far viewer LARGE cities as compared to Texas, therefore large enough for a forum for the Corpus's of the nation.

Such as Tyler, city only, not metro area is larger than any city in Delaware, Maine, Vermont, West Virgina, Wyoming, North Dakota, and second largest in Alaska, Arkansas, Rhode Island, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Montana, Hawaii, Idaho, Maryland, New Mexico, South Dakota, that's 17 states and 3rd or 4th in another 15 or so, according to the July 1, 2007 census estimates (latest) figures. Tyler isn't even on the "map" in Texas for consideration for it's on forum in Texas but in those states we would have our own forum.

Therefore, Corpus would surely have their own forum in most other states but isn't large enough yet in Texas even thou the Moderator may have said some many months ago Corpus would get a forum.

Corpus, the Rio Grande and East Texas should be represented - lots of people constantly ask questions about these areas both for visiting (think of the snowbirds) and for re-location.

It's hard work, and time consuming to moderate so many forums - I'm sure this plays a part in the number of forums.

or not - we are entering a period like we had in the late 70's-early 80's which brought a constant stream of re-locations to Texas. I remember those days well. We will see new neighbors all over Texas.

I agree. I think I would've preferred the Texas forums were broken down by regions first, then list one or two of the major cities in each region. The current set-up with just the major cities doesn't quite jibe. I guess it might've gotten unwieldy, though, to do it that way. I think there should be a West Texas and possibly Panhandle forum, too, then we would pretty much have Texas covered!
