The family and live in kansas city where crime is high and the economy here is in bad shape. So after being laid off as a heating and cooling tech.
Me and the wife probally will pack it up for corpus. We have been there 3 times on vacation and really love the city nice beaches and great fishing. We explored enough to know not to live on Leopard st do to the refinery smells. But we did not research rental property I have posted on craigs list with no responce for something with 3 bedrooms under 850 a month. Is this hard to find??? Second thing my wife is a nurse so no problem with a job thier, but me I am think about going back to school for something new and just snagging a 9-10 hr job possibly heb home depot etc how long does it normally take to get a job like this and are they aboundant. The reason I ask is because IPOSTED RESUME ON MONSTER jobs and yahoojobs with no responce. So I guess what I am asking is, is corpus pretty much a in person application process in order to get a job??

Retail and service jobs are plentiful in Corpus and you do not have to speak spanish. Del Mar College has excellent courses and a great job placement reputation. Employment and renting are best done in person in Corpus. The transit system is under going major improvements in its routes, buses and its service in general beginning in May. We relocated to Corpus from Minneapolis MN a year ago and have loved everything about Corpus thus far.

First off, 3 bedrooms in most communities is hard to net a $850 price tag for rent. While it can be done, it may not be in the best areas of town. Have you considered living in an apartment complex for awhile?

Second, and not to sound mean or rude, but perhaps one of your problems with finding a job online is the fact that your writing and spelling are simply awful. There are so many grammatical errors in your writing that it hurts my eyes to read it. Employers do look at things like this with a critical eye, so be aware of this. Spell Check and some good writing lessons would do you alot of good.

Anyhow, the best of luck to you. I am moving to Corpus in less than a month, will be moving into The Rafters Apartments until my house here in Wichita Falls sells. I am going to take my time in finding the next property we purchase in Corpus, but when my wife and I are ready, we will be staying in the Calallen area (great ISD, really nice area of town). Fortunately, the apartments we are going to be living in also are part of the Calallen ISD (as is my job there).

Leopard and Rand Morgan on westward is really nice. It runs straight through Annaville and turns into Northwest Blvd at the US 77 intersection. I live in the Woodland Creek sub division right off of Leopard. Its one of the longest roads in the city. Not all of it is full of ghetto's and prostitution.

P.S. txsizzler, I live about 3/4 of a mile from the Rafters. Nice little complex. But has horrible pot holes in some areas of the parking lot!

Just a question along the same train of thought. Can 1000-1100 a month rent a decent 3 bedroom house somewhat close to the beach or is that just wishful thinking?
