Wasn't there an HEB grocery store in the Town and Country shopping center on Alameda across the side street from Mt. Carmel home in the 70's?

Yes, there was! It was on the Everhart side of Town & Country. It closed when the then mega store at Robert & Alameda opened up in 1982. The other store at Cullen Mall also closed about the same time.

I just caught the tailend of a Texas Bucket List show for a hamburger joint in Corpus called "Snapkiss."(?)

The food looked SO good--but it doesn't appear on any lists. Did I get the name wrong?

Just thought. Does anyone remember Inza's Lonesome Coyote Saloon way out on Kostorez? If so, do you know what year it burned down? Great times there in the mid 70's.

After Nam, I didn't go back to CC until 1980, it had burned by then. Heard a lot about the place from other musicians. Reminds me, ZZ Top was on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last night. ZZ Top was damned near unknown when they played Inza's back in the 70's. Bushbullit is still around

In 1963 the referenced location, South Alameda St. & Everhart Rd., across Everhart from Mt. Carmel, was the site of Jitney-Jungle grocery store #2.
