Hi! I was checking airfares to come to Corpus over Christmas break (from Midland) and on Southwest air it says that a flight cannot be booked/made due to a schedule modification--anyone know what that means? The price on Continental is about $467 and American is $367. Is that usual to fly into Corpus Christi? Thanks, Pam

Try Southwest again with a different date, they may have been updating their schedules. I was able to get there site to give me prices for Dec 10 & 17 but not when I put in a date after new years.

I check out Expedia.com for ticket prices and options, they were a little bit lower then what you listed but they never show Southwest Airlines options.

It must have something to do with that route. I tried it from Midland and got the same message, but then changed departure city to Dallas out of curiosity and didn't get the message then. So you might need to check w/Southwest's 800# for clarification?

Default odd

I just tried that too--you can book Midland to Dallas or Houston then Corpus (two different tickets) Round trip it comes out to about $320. That is so strange because you can fly from Midland to Albuquerque or Las Vegas for far less and only buy one ticket even though you mayt have to stop in Dallas. Is airfare to Corpus usually high or is it because it's the holidays? I can wait--matter of fact I am "watching" the airfares on a couple of websites but they don't include southwest.

Pam

No doubt about it, airline service into and out of Corpus sux. There is a very limited number of places you can go from our airport, any thing else and you are going to have a connection in Houston or Dallas.

Worse still, air travel to and from CC is expensive.

the more you log on to plane tickets websites the more the ticket will go up in price, there computers track it somehow and they notice how many times you log on and look for that destination and the more you do it they jack up the price

Default good grief!

I am driving from Midland to Corpus but one family member has to fly because he only has a few days of leave and it's a pretty long drive! I wonder if fare watcher will help? Probably not if Southwest won't let me fly there with one ticket and AA and Continental are the only two left----I will see if I get an alert if the fare goes down and post it here...................

Why not? The one time I flew from CC to Houston it wasn't bad. No delays. We didn't have any luggage, so no lost luggage either. Plus I got some of those tasty honey roasted airplane peanuts!
