This is the first year & graduating class of Del Mar's Collegiate High School, which has rated exemplary in the entire academic region, not just within Corpus. Its nice to know that even among all the complaints about the schools in Corpus, that a new high school is in town and rated so high (students have a 98% attendance). And a second one is planned to open near the west campus. We will be moving to CC at the end of the year as my husband has accepted a position at Del Mar and we were quite pleased to hear about the high school there. It is something to be proud of.

Weve spent the last few days in Corpus looking at houses and have been pleased with what we've seen. We enjoyed (what brief sun there was) walking at the marina and photographing pelicans. We attended a church and were very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed finding a wonderful sushi bar, which will soon become our favorite! We are looking forward to our move.

Glad you're enjoying your time here and hope you find a house that you really like.

It's good to hear that the Collegiate High School is rated exemplary and Ray HS is getting ready to be offer an International Baccalaureate program. I think you'll find that while Corpus Christi is not the perfect place to live, many people think it's their civic duty to complain about everything. Except for the hot weather, it's really not all that bad.

Welcome to CC,

You'll find Del Mar is fairly active with the high schools in town. My wife is one of the math professors at Del Mar and currently has one of those high school student in her calculus class,,, believe it or not, the lad is doing better than the regular college students. Smart kid.
