My wife and I are looking at the Corpus Christi area as a place to retire. We've visited CC and like the area for the climate and modest cost of living compared to our current home in Seattle. We stayed on Padre Island, so our conception of living there begins where we've been.

I have a ton of questions and this forum is a nice place to come for information, but I'd also like to look at some local newspaper, TV, and radio web sites. I can look on Bing, but I won't be able to tell if I'm looking at an underground news source or something more mainstream. Can you folks recommend a news source?

Our main newspapers website, Corpus Christi Caller-Times: Local Corpus Christi, Texas News Delivered Throughout the Day., is for the Caller Times. Our two ABC affiliate news station is KIII TV3 - News, Sports, Weather South Texas, Corpus Christi and our NBC news affiliate is www.kristv.com. These are all the main sources for news in CC.

Another source for local news and opinion, and sometimes civic insight through guest interviews with local politicians and business personalities, are our two talk radio stations.

I especially like Jim Lago; NewsRadio 1360 KKTX - Corpus Christi's News, Weather, and Talk station -- Lago, Rush, Beck, Hannity

And sometimes Eric Von Wade; KEYS 1440 News

I don't know if either of these stations have live internet streaming, but it'd be wrorth checking them out if you are in the area.
