That is the cool thing about these forums. Even though the original poster, posted a year and a half ago. My husband and I are currently talking about making our 2013 family vacation a cruise. And we are getting a lot of good information from this. THANK YOU!
yes, it is a great thing, but it is usually a bit humorous when we actually start answering someone who has gottent the answer years before. Sometimes the best way to learn about something is to post a new thread. Many of us would have looked at the Ops date and not bothered answering. In fact that is probably one of the reasons there has been so little feedback.

We jsut got back from a Baltic cruise with our sons and friends. The kids ages were 13, 13, 12, 12 and 10. The kids had a blast and we got to relax.
We visited Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia and Estonia. The highlight of my kids trip was to St. Petersburg. They have never stopped saying it was a chance of a lifetime and would love to go back. While my kids (yes I am biased) enjoyed the ship and the teen center, they loved going to the different cities and seeing what they had to offer. They did not miss the xbox, or computer at all.

Good for you and your family. I love to hear comments like, they didn't miss the computers or whatever. Learning about other countries, traveling with family and friends and experiencing a new way of traveling is something they will remember for life. At the end of WW2 my dad was discharged from the Navy in florida. He and mom decided to give my sister and I a travel experience and we took 4 weeks or so to go from Fl back to Ca. Yes, we missed a few weeks of school, but we visite Philly, NYC, Chic, WashingtonDC, went through the rockies, visited reletives we had never met and some we haven't seen since. I was only 8 years old, but I still remember so much about that trip. Family vacations, if planned right are worth gold..
