Scary to think these are the 'security' guards on these ships.

23 passengers booted from Carnival cruise following 'bloodbath' of a brawl | Fox News

Quote:
Around two dozen Carnival Cruise Line passengers were removed from the Carnival Legend on Friday following a violent brawl that one onlooker described as a “bloodbath.”

The Carnival Legend was scheduled to dock in Melbourne on Saturday following a 10-day trip through the South Pacific, but was forced to make an unscheduled stop in Eden, New South Wales, where police unloaded the unruly passengers, 9 News Australia is reporting.

Australians are hardcore...after a few drinks. I've been on multiple Carnival cruises. The thing to remember is that cruise ships usually are legally registered in other smaller countries like Panama. So, the behavior of security staff could be subject to a myriad of different rules and expectations than what we would expect to see in the US.

Interesting. I see a LOT of employees and security throwing fists and boots - seemingly at a few women down on the ground.

On a Carnival cruise we took a lot of years ago there was a group of young people celebrating that they had graduated from high school. They had no supervision at all. They were so obnoxious that the captain had them put ashore in Mazatlan and told them they would have to get home on their own.

Carnival since put in a requirement that passengers had to be 21 to travel on their own.

We had a similar experience years ago on a Carnival cruise from Long Beach to Mexico. High school kids drunk. Out of control in the dining rooms. Passed out on the stairways. Sex in public areas of the ship.
