Uber is popular ..... our travel agent said he could set up transportation but it is 3x more than Uber...
Exactly. And, depending on which specific port, there are often other alternatives.
Uber will also get you there quicker. Cruise line transfers don't leave fir the airport until the bus is full of the people who overpaid for transfers.
(Exceptions MAY exist with the true luxury cruise lines who MIGHT include private transportation to the port. But I wouldn't know.)

Yep. Some are very close to the port. Fort Lauderdale is in the same area and should only take about 10 minutes from the port. Others have insanely slow transfers. I tried a transfer in San Juan one time and it was so slow that I missed the flight because we were waiting in the bus for over an hour for loading and unloading. Luxury river cruises do transfers included and they will just take you. No worries about arriving on time. Otherwise I would say get an Uber or cab depending on the location.
Do cruises offer airport transportation to and from cruise ports?
Most do offer transfers to the cruise terminal but often times the cost is higher than taking a taxi. Another consideration is if you are flying to the port definitely fly in the day before your cruise leaves and overnight at a nearby hotel because if you miss a connecting flight or the plane gets delayed for some reason there is a good chance you could miss your cruise. Many hotels near cruise terminals offer pre-cruise packages that will offer free or reasonable cost shuttle service from airport to hotel and hotel to cruise terminal so do check those packages out.

Some will even let you park your car at the hotel and shuttle you to the port. If you have to stay the night before this is a cheaper way to go, but you might have a little wait to be picked up when you get off the ship.
