There was a conference call this afternoon with Travel Agents and this is what the company is offering. It's now up on RCI's website and I cut and pasted below. Don't know if it pertains to the other lines RCI owns.

"We get it. Whether you’re already booked on a cruise, or are thinking about it, we want you to Cruise with Confidence. That’s why Royal Caribbean will let you cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through July 31, 2020. Whether it’s a booking you already have or one you make right now, you’re covered. As long as you cancel at least 48 hours before you set sail, you’ll receive a Future Cruise Credit. The credit can be used toward any cruise that sets sail through December 31, 2021."

I was scheduled to sail out of Galveston next week, so this is welcome news. I did have travel insurance, but not a CFAR rider (won't make that mistake again).

Another preemptive ploy by a travel company to secure interest-free loans from their customers. What is a travel voucher worth if the cruise line declares bankruptcy? * zero *

I see your point, but I bought a fare without a CFAR Insurance and that's on me. Caveat emptor. They owed me nothing. I had already decided I was not going to sail, so I would have lost the full fare, something I am fortunate I could have easily absorbed. Many people are not so lucky, so I appreciate RCI's gesture of goodwill.

What a great way to book bargain cruises for the next yr. My mom was reminiscing about her many cheap, nearly free relocation cruises during SARS and finance meltdown.

The one's I'll book I don't care about missing 0.7% interest on a trip that I will save 50-70%

Pinnacle Club member of the Crown and Anchor® Society. Here we come. Friends at that level get a lot of < $1000 14+ day cruises. Executive cabins...free upgrades.

I just was on my very first cruise Feb. 24-28 on RC out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas. It was just before the coronavirus hysteria really ramped up, and I'm so glad. I'm in the Houston area and we talked about a cruise out of Galveston this time, and I'm up for it -- but not for several month methinks. Congrats that your next cruise is paid for!
