My SO works for a local shelter. There are several people every day that come in wearing brand-new clothes and holding iPhones that ask to pay their bills with EBT cards.

How much do we pay to the UN? I'm all in favor of taking that amount and paying water bills with it instead of sending it to the UN.

Plumbing has been a standard of civilization for thousands of years, the ancients never "cut" your water off, it was free. Albeit, water bills generally can be kept to a very low cost if rationed correctly.

Being a homeowner has resposibility attached with it other than just making a payment (if any) and paying taxes on it. Utilities are not entitled.
