In spite of the all scandals, people still apparently really love football. Do you and how have the controversies impacted your football viewing?

Honestly the scandals...Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Josh gordon, etc do not effect my football viewing in any way. It seems most of the fans are in support of the players regardless of what their latest issue is. You saw hundreds of people wearing ray rice jerseys at the game, peterson jerseys etc. And dont they say all publicity is good publicity?

I would still argue that people hate michael vick more for fithing dogs then they will ever hate ray rice for punching his wife or peterson for beating his child. Kind of warped view we have as a society but it is, what it is.

Totally agreed. What Vick did was bad, but knocking your wife out like that is much worse IMO.

The average football fan probably has 2 kids to care for and works 40-50 hours per week. If watching football makes them happy, why **** in their cornflakes? It seems like some people are angry that so many people get so much enjoyment from football.

It hasn't affected my viewing at all, especially since my Eagles are 2-0. I willingly gave up valuable sleep last night to stay up and watch and will continue to do so.

Why should I completely give up on football due to a few bad characters? I think Mel Gibson is an abusive a** but I haven't stopped going to all movies in protest, just his.

football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.

I'm done with pro football. Today's players are greedy, narcissistic AHOLES. I love the game, but I definitely despise the players.
