Is it possible that flight MH370 was hijacked to use as an Ebola weapon?

I just wonder about the people sharing the apartment with Mr. Duncan?? They had meals with him, used the toilet after him, the shower or bathtub, the girlfriend was apparently in bed with him and he was sweating bad. I am sure they all gathered in the den and watched TV together. He was sent home still very sick when he visited the ER the first time.

Yet, we are told they are in quarantine and not showing any signs, right now at least. I sincerely hope they do not come down with Ebola. They have suffered enough.

I do not trust one thing Thomas Frieden from the CDC says. He and the govt is attempting to avoid a panic and yet the propaganda they put out is not giving the populace a warm and cozy feeling.

I'm on your side. But at this point the issue is moot. We have enough seed cases of our own to make the additions statistically irrelevant. What we need to do at this point is protect our healthcare workers so they can treat the sick without themselves becoming infected. This is priority one! Later we can play the blame game about how wise it was not to have enacted a travel ban.

That's my point. If the virus enters the general population, what percentage of people have access to level 4 biohazard equipment? Heck, most of us don't even wash our hands, let alone take the standard precautions of nurse treating anything. If level 4 biohazard is the only way to contain it, it must be very easily spread.

I am not giving out misinformation. I am reiterating what is being said by WHO and the CDC. If you don't trust that they know more about how diseases are spread than the average person on the Internet, then you probably ought to lock yourself in your home and don't come out.

The wild speculation that OMG we could get Ebola if we are in the same building or airplane as the person who showed no symptoms is WRONG and it is HARMFUL.

It is HARMFUL when hundreds or thousands of people show up at ERs afraid they have Ebola when they haven't been exposed.

It is HARMFUL if people don't come forward because they think they will be ostracized.

It is HARMFUL for the economy if everyone holes up indoors because of irrational fear.

I would send my kids to the day care that is next door to this hospital. I would eat in the hospital cafeteria.

They've probably never had such a perfect case study with one identifiable patient in an enclosed space before.
Sawyer took a plane to Nigeria while having a high fever, profuse sweating, and lots of vomit and diarrhea. No one on his plane caught Ebola.

If you are in direct contact with the body fluids of a person shedding the virus, i.e., near or after death. If that's your line of work then yes. For the general population, then, no.

Mergers are going on with other Ebola threads moved here. Be patient; it will make it easier if everyone is in the same discussion.

The information is coming out that the procedures at the hospital were totally inadequate for managing Ebola. It is easy to catch if you are in direct contact with someone who is ill and you do not have the right gear and know how to use it. That does not mean you will get it just walking the same street as someone who is infected but does not have symptoms.
