Yup. This is why one shouldn't be pulled over & harassed. Mind your own business!
So you think it's OK he was shot and killed during this traffic stop? You are assuming a lot with your comment. While I really don't like bully roided thug type cops, I'm not going to assume this guy was like that and that he was simply harassing them by stopping their vehicle. These two creeps had a record for past crimes, it was late and they were likely prowling or had pulled a job. They were not just coming home from volunteer work with the less fortunate. Why else would they react as they did? I feel sorry for this guys wife and two kids, but apparently you have no compassion for them and side with the criminals.
If cops minded their own business and ignored cars prowling neighborhoods, suspicious people and such, there would be more robberies, thefts and burglaries, as well as more violent crimes being committed.
Sad, but I'd still take a job in a second as an leo as would thousands of others if given the opportunity. They probably have a stack of applications a mile high with qualified applicants especially if they don't require college. It's a relatively safe job. More likely to die being a truck driver.
If the killers were non-white it would get plenty of attention. Or if a white cop shot a non-white. Racial division is what gets ratings and site hits.
Typically differing ethnicities or high social/eonomic class. 80% of people, give or take, are killed by people of their own ethnic group. Interracial crime isn't that common.

I know, but the media loves to rattle the cages of racists.
Usually when a cop is shot and/or killed, it's usually the local media that reports it. It happens more than we think. It goes national when they can't find the perp (like what's happening now). Unfortunately it is part of the job for cops.
Oh ya, sure it's not so dangerous. Clearly these are people that have not done the job spouting off about what it's like and how dangerous it is. And by the way, shooting deaths of police officers have risen 68 percent since this time last year.
On September 4th, in Rochester, New York another officer, Daryl Pierson, 32, was killed during a traffic stop. Another scumbag that shouldn't have been let out on parole. He had just got out of prison a month before. This coward shot the officer at close range. He had been in for attempted robbery, why did he only serve the minimum sentence? The lenient judges on violent cases all need to be kicked off the bench. The officer leaves behind two young children and a wife. Condolences to the family and RIP to Daryl.
