Interesting thing about the "bureaucracy" of volunteering...

My Son had a Mentor who worked with him thru Middle & High School. She was his Fourth Grade teacher. When he moved to HS, and they had to put her into there Registered Volunteer system. They wanted her to fill out a dozen page application, do the background check etc.

And she WORKS FOR The school District as a Teacher, Has district ID card, All they needed to do it turn her ID card on to the HS scanner.
