What is the matter with people today? Can't anybody think for themselves anymore? What kind of moron would think it unusual for a 5 year old to draw a gun and say "pew pew"? Would this be the kind of idiots who think nothing of open carry laws or who oppose gun control? The irony is not lost on most of us.
My friends mom owned a daycare. The state rules said no toy weapons. The little boys often chewed their crackers or pb&j sandwiches into the shape of guns and played cops and robbers. These sort of zero tolerance policies are the result of people trying to make sense of the nonsensical. It won't help, but it makes them feel like they are " doing everything they can" ( shrug )

What the State doesn't realize is anything can be made into a weapon. How naive and ludicrous for them to think that. 99 999% of 5yr. old don't even know what suicide is. Playing "cops n robbers" is a fun game most of us have played in childhood. I did and am a productive member of society with no criminal record

LOL, most kids played cops and robbers (You're dead and you know it!!), with no ill effects. And they weren't sent to a shrink, as was suggested to this poor kid's mom, either.

The same can be said for a very large percentage of the population.... myself included.

Yup. My brat had all the toy weapons. Jedi light sabers, aero soft guns, and lots of water guns. He hasn't shot anybody so far. Remember what Dennis Miller said when some parents sued over metal music? ( paraphrased from memory) " if your kid can be influenced by anything Twisted Sister has to say, well, that kid had the silly-straw chromosome to begin with."
Pathetic. Millions of kids grew up with cowboy holsters and six-shooters, cap pistols, etc. We played "Army" with surplus helmets, web belts, canteens, holsters and plastic .45s. Never once did any of us have the urge to actually put a real bullet in anyone's head. We knew the difference between playing and reality.

That's going below the belt.. Really a 5 yr old??? It's in cartoons , kids movies, news. Enough already!
Probably scarred the 5 yr old for life. Like did he really understand what he was signing. That's ridiculous . Sure a lot of school incidents have ended in tragedy, copy cat incidents.
This is so sad. Where do u draw the line. Just hope he doesn't kiss a girl at school... That's harassment LOL.
