In the news today, a woman chased after someone who stole her iPhone. This was a car chase and the 911 operator told the woman to stop following the person who took her iPhone. The reason? That 911 operator knew first hand of another person who refused to give up their phone and got killed over it.

What is it that makes an iPhone worth your life?

Now there is a review over the incident because the people who lost the iPhone complained.

Then here is one where a woman got her fingernails ripped off as she struggled for her iPhone.

Is there something seriously wrong with these people?

Um, is your stuff worth your life? That is the question. The question is not if it is okay that someone takes your stuff, the question, once again...

is it worth losing your life over an iPhone. I take it you say yes?

the question that should be asked is is it worth his life to take my stuff.

No, I started the thread, I get to state the question. Start another thread if you like.

The question has nothing to do with flipping anything onto the victim. The question is about risk and is risking your life to keep someone from stealing your iPhone worth it?

Am I understanding you correctly that if someone has a gun to your head and demands your iPhone that your answer would be "go ahead, pull the trigger"?

As far as I'm concerned, no material possession is worth my life. But I suppose there are people that would disagree with that. I certainly wouldn't risk my life over an Iphone.

No and hell no! There is something horribly wrong with anyone that steals other people's property. IF DEADLY force could be used to KILL these thieves the thefts would drop like a rock. Of course this will never happen.

Of course there is something wrong with people who steal from others. That is a given but not the question.

Is it worth risking your life for an iPhone? You're trying to change the question.
