China paying people to marry into minority culture

The government of China is paying people in the Han Chinese culture (which is about 90% of Chinese people) to marry someone outside the culture, like the Uighurs in NW China. This is unprecedented.

A non-democratic govt is usually mean or brutal to minority cultures that have had problems. Look how Russia treated the Chechens.

So they are attempting to use the Han like sterile fruit flies and hope the minorities assimilate and that the Han won't and become Muslim in the process.
