Yes berdee that happened here.

From what I gather it was peaceful.

The stores at the MOA shut down, closed their doors and planned to in advance.

What is sad is the protesters did it on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

So, the protester caused business' to loose money and staff to loose a days pay.

I've had it up to here with all this BS going on...........protest this, protest that, I've had it. Time for these malcontents to do POSITIVE things if they want to elevate their status in the eyes of others. All they are doing is damaging what credibility they did have before all this stupid stuff started happening. Do they really think these protests are doing any good ????????

Get jobs, raise your children in two Parent homes, teach them respect (and have respect for others yourself) and show us that you are attempting to fit into American society in the right ways, and then we will start respecting you.

What a disgusting bunch of losers !

Don

The Ferguson situation started peacefully too until the chanting by Michaels father, then the burning & looting started. Mall of America is not a ghetto area & as stated previously is private property. It is the duty of the management to protect the vendors who rent the stores in the mall....When you get a sizable number of "peacefully" protesting people it wouldn't take much to turn it into a disaster...Can you imagine looting & burning there? If that happened the public would fear ever shopping there in the future and the vendors could be financially wiped out...
The protests turned into riots in so many parts of the country has turned many sympathetic people into people with much less empathy for the right to protest. I fear it has taken race relations back 50 years.

You think an arsonist can't burn down multiple buildings?

Also, they caught law enforcement officials burning down buildings.

Surprise surprise.

So... strip protesters of their constitutional right to assemble out of fear?

The only thing taking race relations back are the racist right-wing conservatives.

Race relations are being fired by what happened in Ferguson and the actions of the people after the verdict....
Protesters do not have a RIGHT to assemble on public property....

Those aren't the words of thinking, caring people. Those are crazy mob rule words and that kind of madness is what leads to the dog and fire hose "solution."

Particularly chilling to me was that while they were chanting this crude and ugly wish it was during the time that the two police officers in New York were shot. If both sides don't make an effort to see each other as fellow human beings with family this isn't going to happen...
while it's true that their chant was not appropriate, it needs to be pointed out that all the other good "what do we want..." chants have all been used up by now resulting in having to pick from all the dumb one's still available.

Reread what you said slowly.

They have EVERY right to assemble on public property. Why do you hate the constitution so much?

With restrictions. A freeway is public property but they should not be allowed to shut down public facilities for others to use.
