My sentiments exactly, this is like those kids who thought it was a good idea to down 10 energy shots in an hour. High amounts of stimulants in a short period of time is always a bad idea.
1) Yes, we're a litigious, "who can I sue?" society. This happens more and more often: someone suffers a tragedy, and s/he or surviving family members figure they might as well be rich.
2) Troubling, too, is the effort to now ban this substance. I'd never heard of it but, apparently, it can be used responsibly. Expect a law named after this young man--and like most of those types of laws, it will infringe on your freedoms.

Seriously? Nowhere on a large bucket of KFC does it say we shouldn't eat the whole bucket by ourselves. Do we have a lawsuit if we get sick for doing so?
How likely is it that he took the stuff inappropriately because of the pressure to get good grades to get into the best college?
more likely that he was just doing to be funny, daring, push the limits cause he wanted to impress friends or some girls.
