For future translation needs, and my own edification (I guess); I'm compiling a list of "mainstream" media euphemisms that are predictably rolled out in each of these accounts.
Gentle giant/teen = violent felon, typically legal adult 18+, but not yet 20 years old. Used exclusively when applied sympathetically to Black criminals.. Criminals of other races, over 18, are accurately referred to, and reported, as adults. peaceful protestor = lawless (and/or violent) looter The community = friendly euphemism for a mob of deadbeat dads, full-time agitators, gang members, looters, and self-ordained reverends who are often only seen bonding when it's time to publicly and prematurely demonize a police officer.

This kid wasn't BASE jumping, wrestling alligators or driving while distracted. To say that shoplifters, muggers and other low level felons should expect death if their crimes come to the attention of law enforcement is reactionary and wrong. Black lives matter!

He wasn't a kid. He was a 19 year-old adult and father and a convicted felon on probation whom the police received multiple calls about on the night he was killed. One caller stated that he had punched someone, another stated that he tried to strangle someone. Participating in a home invasion robbery while armed with a weapon isn't a "low level felony". It's an extremely violent crime that involves a bad guy and a victim. He was the bad guy.

You consider this ADULT a low level felon? Really? Did you even read the history of this ADULT? His lifestyle was on his FB account and Twitter embracing thug life. He was already in trouble and this was just amping his crime up a notch. Please, with the Black lives matter. All lives matter and this ADULT was on a one way ticket to prison or worse when Darwin caught up with him.

Except that nobody is saying that. What they are saying is that if you attack an police officer, regardless of whether you have a gun or not, don't expect the outcome to be good. Expect to be dead.

The thing is, there is no distinction between this thug and some black guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. The black guy 'accidentally' shot in the stairwell, the little black girl shot because a SWAT operative had his hand on the trigger of an automatic weapon while blinded by a flash grenade, the numerous black drivers shot during routine traffic stops... you can't say they were thugs! So you say little about those shootings and heap on the righteous indignation the minute there is any hint of 'justification' for a shooting. Black lives matter!

Nature herself is okay with it, it's called Darwinism. Every stupid action has a consequence. You and your ilk should be more concerned with preventing stupid actions than the associated consequences. That would be a start.
