I've always had a fascination with weather, especially things like tornadoes, and hurricanes. If I had the resources, I would love to travel to tornado alley in the spring to storm chase. Having said that, would I live in Moore, OK? No. Not because of the tornadoes, but it is just not an area that would appeal to me for residing. Keep in mind too, there are those who do live in tornado alley where tornadoes are frequent, and have never seen one.

I've never seen one. I've always wanted to. Of course I wouldn't want one coming directly at me, but to witness one from a distance would be cool. I have seen wall clouds before, and the formation of a water spout over Lake Erie from miles in land, but that's about it.

I live in Tornado Alley (south of Wichita Kan), and I've always felt that having a tornado actually hit my town or home was mostly of matter of odds, and that those odds are pretty slim. The fact that Moore Ok has been severely hit 3 times since 1999 defies those odds. IDK, maybe it has something to do with their geographical location, but the entire Oklahoma City area has had more than its fair share of tornados. I've lived in OKC twice in my life, and my first thought after hearing about this latest storm last night was... no way I would ever move there again.
So the answer would be no.

But not because of anything to do with past tornadic episodes, which have no bearing on whether or not a future tornadic episode is likely to affect the town any more than other town in Oklahoma. Tornado frequency occurs on a far greater level than the municipal boundaries of one locality. Moore's unfortunate record is merely a result of normal distribution patterns, no different than rolling a natural Yahtzee.
I wouldn't live there, free house or not, due solely to the downside of living in Oklahoma.
