Roberts and Scalia join with the four liberals to come down on the side of the Bill of Rights and against the police state?

Even a couple of stopped clocks are right every once and awhile...

Scalia might be the most pro-privacy justice on the entire Supreme Court. Even the article states as much.

Justice Antonin Scalia’s majority vote here is slightly less predictable, but still unsurprising: Scalia is obsessed with privacy protections for property, and has consistently opposed unjustified searches and seizures of automobiles.

He was one of the dissenters in Kelo vs New London which Ginsburg and Souter fully came down on the side of government seizure of property.

Well giving credit where credit is due, Scalia is pretty reliable when it comes to 4th Amendment issues, Roberts on the other hand.... not so much.
