A wild turkey crashed through a bathroom window while the owner was away and somehow managed to turn on the taps which ran for several hours flooding the bathroom. After calling 911, police managed to remove the bird which was unscathed. Warwick woman finds wild turkey in bathroom - ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, Weather

The turkey should count itself lucky it didn't end up on someone's dinner plate.

I thought turkeys didn't fly? At least according to WKRP in Cincinnati, they don't. That was a second floor bathroom.

One of my favorite TV episodes of all time....

On a serious note, domestic turkeys (the white ones) can't fly because they have been bred to be too heavy. Wild turkeys, while somewhat ungainly, can fly medium distances just fine. In fact, when a flock takes off it sounds a lot like a squadron of small Hueys.

Can Turkeys Fly?

They can, just not for long and not too high usually.
