Thanks for the information, so 5 white officers and 1 black? I can't help but wonder if the video had shown 3 black officers instead of white, if it would be all over the news and all of the protestors out marching.
Wonder all you want to, but it's not really relevant. Just out of curiosity, do you live anywhere near Baltimore? What's your particular interest in this? Trying to fit the facts into slots to support your preconceived notions, perhaps?
The miracle in all this is that the prosecutor assigned to the case of Freddie Gray's death is an elected official named Marilyn Mosby. She is an African-American resident of Baltimore WHO COMES FROM A FAMILY OF POLICE OFFICERS. If anyone is going to balance the scales of justice between the abused and the abusers, it is she.
Interviewed recently by journalist Chris Hayes, she was asked if she felt pressured to make a rush to judgement in this case and if public concern had influenced her process. Her reply:
"At the end of the day I’m here to do my job. It’s about applying justice fairly and equally to those with and without a badge. Did I treat this case any different in the pursuit of justice? No, I didn’t. Law enforcement is instilled within my being. I understand and respect that the majority of police officers are risking their lives day in and day out. Recognizing that, I also know that some officials usurp their authority. ... When they do that, you have to hold those individuals accountable ... Am I worried about any sort of backlash? Absolutely not. Did I rush to judgement? Absolutely not," Mosby said.
So what you're saying is that despite the media repeatedly showing the clip of Freddie being dragged into the van by white officers, you still don't know?
Surprise, surprise !!! 3 of the 6 WERE black ! How do you feel now, Mr. Obvious ?
