Nice gesture from officer

DPD Officer responds to disturbance, buys family dinner

Quote:
When Officer Young arrived, he determined no crime had been committed. The father removed himself voluntarily from the argument, but the mother was still worried about how to put a meal on the table.

Officer Young didn't want the family to go to bed on an empty stomach - so he went out to a nearby restaurant and bought a meal for each member of the family with his own money.

Good on him. This is how you build relations with your community. There needs to be more out there like him.

This is how police used to behave in this country. They policed a community of human beings and neighbors, not prison states of criminals and future criminals. Kindness and empathy go a long way.

If that's the law, why are you blaming the police for that.

Blessings to this officer.

I want to believe there are more good officers than inhumane ones, most don't want recognition, doing good, feels good.

Many good things should come to this officer, do good and good comes back to you ten fold.
